We would like to offer you the opportunity for you to join us in class for a “Food and Phonics” session in Reception Class on Friday 14 October at 8:45am – 9:30am.

This term, the children have been exploring the question “Why can’t we eat chocolate for breakfast?” In order to continue with their learning about making healthy choices, we would like to invite you into the classroom on Friday 14^th October for a breakfast morning. We will be serving breakfast between 8:45-9am and the children will be encouraged to make breakfast for you, so they can put their learning into practice.

Following this, we would like to invite you all to stay in class and join us for a phonics lesson from 9-9:30am. This is a great opportunity to see how the children are taught phonics and for us to share our learning with you. Staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about phonics or how to support with phonics and reading at home.

To ensure we have enough breakfast food, please could you complete the form on the letter below to let us know if you will be attending. Please hand it to a member of the Reception Class staff by Thursday 13^th October. In order to limit disruptions to our phonics teaching, please could we ask that only adults attend our session – limited to a maximum of 2 adults per child.
