For the last day of term tomorrow children can wear their own clothes (mufti!).
As the weather is looking great tomorrow the children will be spending some time outside, so please apply suncream to your child before school and bring a hat/cap.
Early Years (Nursery & Reception) are having a 'pirates love underpants' party tomorrow, so children are encouraged to wear something pirate themed, or something bright, with their UNDERPANTS ON TOP!!
If any of our Year 6s who are leaving us tomorrow would like to donate their ties to the office for 'spares' that would be very much appreciated.

We will be holding a Leavers Assembly for our Year 6 students on Wednesday 14th July at 9am.
Euro 2020 Final:
Because we know lots of children will want to stay up to watch the final of the Euros on Sunday, we will not be closing our registers until 10.30 on Monday morning. This way the children will get a chance to stay in bed a little bit longer and be well rested for their school day!
The school gates will be open at 8.45 as normal but if you wish to keep your children in bed a little longer then they have the option.
End of Term Award Assembly - Monday 12th July- 1.00pm.
Appointments can be booked via the School Cloud website; https://hazelleys.schoolcloud.co.uk Hopefully you will have already used this system to book the telephone appointments at the start of the year, but if you need help logging in please contact the Academy office and we will be pleased to help.
Sports week this year at Hazel Leys will be 28th June – 2nd July.
Children will need to wear their PE kit every day that week.
Mintridge will be delivering a day of football workshops with the elite deaf football player Fil Kamps.
I’m so pleased to confirm that your wonderful pupils and parents raised a fantastic £133.00 for Lakelands Hospice!
This really is amazing and really appreciated by everyone at Lakelands Hospice.
We are planning on holding our book fair in the week after half term. Unfortunately, due to Covid regulations we are unable to invite parents in after school to browse the book selection after school as we have done in previous years.
This year we will be taking the children into the hall during the school day in their class bubbles to look at the books. Each child in Reception – Year 6 has been allocated £5 to spend on a book. They will be able to choose a book up to the value £5.
On Friday 11th June 2021, we are asking children to be a ‘Lakelands Superhero’ for a day – they can dress in rainbow coloured clothes or wear their favourite superhero or nurses/doctors outfit.
Lakelands Hospice will provide goody bags for the best dressed boy and girl as chosen by the school.
We kindly ask that a £1.00 donation be made to help raise funds for Lakelands Hospice. Please can your child bring in £1.00 on the day.
