This really is amazing and really appreciated by everyone at Lakelands Hospice.
We are planning on holding our book fair in the week after half term. Unfortunately, due to Covid regulations we are unable to invite parents in after school to browse the book selection after school as we have done in previous years.
This year we will be taking the children into the hall during the school day in their class bubbles to look at the books. Each child in Reception – Year 6 has been allocated £5 to spend on a book. They will be able to choose a book up to the value £5.
On Friday 11th June 2021, we are asking children to be a ‘Lakelands Superhero’ for a day – they can dress in rainbow coloured clothes or wear their favourite superhero or nurses/doctors outfit.
Lakelands Hospice will provide goody bags for the best dressed boy and girl as chosen by the school.
We kindly ask that a £1.00 donation be made to help raise funds for Lakelands Hospice. Please can your child bring in £1.00 on the day.
The school will close at the end of the day on Friday 28th May and re-open on Monday 7th June 2021.
Have a lovely half term.

Symptoms of coronavirus in children:
What to do if your child has symptoms:

On Monday 24th May Former Commonwealth Gymnast Grace Harrison will be visiting the Academy.
Grace will give a whole school Inspirational Assembly. Then each class will have coaching sessions.
On Friday 14th May, Book Trust are holding a fundraising day called ‘Pyjamarama’.
This day is all about getting children excited about reading, and fundraising to make sure every child gets their bedtime story. On this day, children will spend a day reading, enjoying and sharing stories in school, all whilst in the comfort of their pyjamas!
We will be collecting donations of £1 for the Book Trust. Please send donation into school in a sealed envelope.
Children can come into school in their pyjamas on this day. If your child has P.E. on Fridays, they can come into school in their P.E. kit with their pyjamas over their P.E. kit, so they can take off their pyjamas before P.E. They can then go home in their P.E. kit.
