Arts Award Discover is an introductory award designed for ages 5 and above, and is open to children and young people aged up to 25.
To achieve an Arts Award Discover, teachers have collected evidence in an individual arts log of experiences for children in each year group. This includes:

Wednesday 3rd October. The Dogs Trust will be visiting school to deliver a very special assembly and a series of workshops for our Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 children. We look forward to finding out more about not only caring for pets but also the part dogs have played in world history. Year 6 will be learning about how dogs were used in World War II, Year 5 how exercise and dogs support one another, Year 3 will find out about dog senses and Year 4 about keeping safe and responsible. It will be a very informative day and supports our exciting curriculum for history, PHSE, science and literacy.

Friday 14th September Tigers are really looking forward to taking part in The Triathlon Trust with Tata Steel, Corby, Oundle and Thrapston School Sports Partnership and Corby Borough Council. Children will be taking part in a 70m swim, 1km bike and 500m run at Corby East Midlands International Swimming Pool.
Children from Year 6 we will be taking part in a fun filled three days of outdoor adventure at one of our local outdoor centres. They will have a great time – building self-confidence, working as part of a team, taking calculated risks and gaining independence.
Forest School is an inspirational process, that offers ALL learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees.
