YR 6 - Stibbington Evacuation Trip
This event will take place between 8:20am and 4:00pm on 20/03/2019.
In line with the National Curriculum and to support our learning about World War 2, we have arranged for Year 6 to visit the Stibbington Centre in Peterborough to experience a re-created ‘Evacuation Day’. On Evacuation Days they turn the clock back to the 1940s. In the role of real children who were evacuated from London to Stibbington during WWII, the day begins with arrival at the nearby steam railway centre. From there a learning walk takes children through the wartime countryside to the Centre where lessons include gas mask drill and air raids.
